The article presents the text of a speech by law professor Jerome A. Cohen, delivered as part of China, Taiwan, and International Law: A Symposium in Honor of Professor Hungdah Chiu, at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law on October 5, 2011. He talks about the works of Professor Chiu and discusses the change in the attitude of China toward international law. He discusses contemporary law issues on the relations between the U.S. and China.
