- Abstract
This article reports on a survey by the PNC Financial Services Group of wealthy households. Many of the families are worried that their children might be spoiled with the knowledge of the families' wealth. Parents worry that their children view money as a right. Other concerns include the thought that children will not do as well in school or in their jobs because they feel like they will not have to; parents expect that they will have to financially provide for their children well into adulthood; and many parents are concerned with their descendants ability to manage the wealth properly.
