- Abstract
The article presents a study on hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effects of hesperertin glycosides in Goto-Kakizaki (GK) rats with type 2 diabetes. It showed that glucose metabolism is normalized by hesperertin glycosides by changing glucose-regulating enzymes activities and lower lipids level in rats' serum and liver. Moreover, effects were produced by shifting peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors, 3-hydroxy-3-methyl-glutaryl coenzyme A reductase, and low density of lipoprotein receptor.
