- Abstract
The article presents a study which shows a full length cloning of the complementary DNA (cDNA) of Perionyx excavatus, an earthworm which is known to have a high regenerative ability, and the regeneration of its three labial genes. The study employs reverse transcription-polymeras chain reaction to analyze the expression pattern during the regeneration of the head, trunk and tail fragments. Results of the study show that three labial genes are apparent only with the head-regenerating tissues.
