- Abstract
The article presents a study investigating the synthesis of capsaicinol through allylic oxidation and its physiological effects on capsaicin receptors transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1)-related actions. The efficacy of capsaicinol was compared with that of capsaicin in TRPV1 activation. Its intravenous administration in rats showed that it enhanced adrenaline secretion.
