- Authors
Otis, Ghislain
- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the role of the three self-government agreements concluded by provincial and federal governments in accordance to legal culture and aboriginal languages in the creation and diffusion of law. The agreements' aboriginal jurisdiction is closely aligned with the state's functioning and entirely integrated in the state's judicial hierarchy. The agreements with the Tlicho, the Labrador Inuit, and the Nisga'a establish new aboriginal government institutions.
