The article focuses on Emraolgheis Abu Hares, the father of simile in pre-Islamic poetry. Abu Hares is the son of Hejri Kendi, the king of the lost and a man of talents, and was born in 520 A.D. He is a Yemenese poet and the pioneer of the first poets of pre-Islamic time. His poems are contained in a small book of poems including some 25 odes along with literary pieces which was initially published by Deslane in Paris, France in 1837.
