- Abstract
The article focuses on the effect of presentation mode and material difficulty on third and seventh graders' use of phonemic and semantic attributes. It investigates the use of the phonemic and semantic attributes of words for encoding verbal information into long-term memory, to determine if there is a developmental change in the use of the phonemic and semantic attributes, and to determine the influence of presentation mode and material difficulty on the use of the phonemic and semantic attributes.
