- Abstract
The article presents a study concerning O-Linked N-Acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc). The study proposes the possibility that O-GlcNAc shapes cooperative binding of Sp1 and its collaborating transcription factors, Oct1 and Elf-1, into DNA templates in vivo. It shows that O-GlcNAc weakens the DNA binding of Sp1 and its cooperative binding partners by suppressing stable interaction on DNA templates.
