- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 38-year-old, HIV-positive woman from Ivory Coast who experienced excessive menstrual bleeding with methrorragia and low blood hemoglobin concentrations during a routine outpatient visit for which her doctor prescribed the hormone desogestrel. Topics include an overview of virologic failure as a result of the administration of the drug desogestrel for excessive menstrual bleeding.
