- Abstract
Subfraction 2-1 (2.6 g) was further purified on a silica gel column using I n i -hexane-acetone mixtures to obtain vanillic acid ( B 12 b ) (6 mg) and I p i -hydroxybenzoic acid ( B 13 b ) (10 mg). Subfraction 2-2 (2.4 g) was further purified on a silica gel column using CH SB 2 sb Cl SB 2 sb -MeOH mixtures to obtain berberine ( B 3 b ) (33 mg). Subfraction 1-2 (1.8 g) was further purified on a silica gel column using I n i -hexane-acetone mixtures to yield a mixture of -sitosterol ( B 15 b ) and stigmasterol ( B 16 b ) (22 mg). Subfraction 1-4 (2.1 g) was further purified on a silica gel column using I n i -hexane-CH SB 2 sb Cl SB 2 sb mixtures to obtain oxyberberine ( B 2 b ) (17 mg).
