- Abstract
This document discusses the use of a figure-of-eight suturing technique for hemostasis in cases of placenta previa, a condition associated with severe bleeding during pregnancy. The authors retrospectively analyzed 190 cases of placenta previa and found that the figure-of-eight suturing technique was effective in preserving fertility and reducing complications. They reported successful subsequent pregnancies in 37 cases, with no instances of placenta percreta/increta or hysterectomy. The authors emphasize the importance of preserving blood supply to nonbleeding areas during hemostatic procedures and suggest that the figure-of-eight suturing technique is a promising option for subsequent pregnancies.
