- Abstract
This article describes the In-diferencias research/action project undertaken in the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work (FEPTS, UdL) during the 2015-2016 academic year. It explains how the mediation between an urban exhibition, the virtual space and the reading of texts allows us to reflect on and represent a political place that considers difference. Visiting the "Efecto GEZI" exhibition allowed us to connect with other contexts and open a debate about art as a political mediator in initial teacher training. Consequently, we undertook an investigation of the site of these mediations -between texts, visualisations and contexts- to displace an initial stereotyped way of thinking about difference. In this sense, the contributions of our research delimit some opportunities and difficulties for art education when covering complex issues about educational interests through visual creation and the use of artistic and technological mediation.
