- Abstract
The fluorescence and absorption spectra of perylene in n-octane are studied at a temperature of 4.2 K and pressure in the range of 0–10 kbar. The effect of pressure on the distribution of intensity in the spectra is ascertained. The behavior of parameters of vibronic interaction is studied as a function of pressure. The nonmonotonic character of this behavior is associated with the different character of deformations of the nuclear framework of the perylene molecule in the various ranges of external pressure applied. © 2003 MAIK “Nauka / Interperiodica”.
