- Abstract
The article reports on the total investment made by the Environmental Protection Agency and states over the past 18 years in the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program in the U.S. The CWSRF program has generated an approximate amount of $54 billion since it was started in 1988. The funds will be used to improve ageing wastewater infrastructure. According to official records, bonds issued by states added 940 million dollars in 2005 alone, with annual CWSRF assistance averaging $4.5 billion.
