- Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the study by E. A. Yam and colleagues concerning the feasibility of implementing birth plans for Mexican women. It discusses the lack of medical care bestowed by health care professionals to pregnant women who are disadvantaged economically and socially. It offers information on the value of reiterating the rights of women to express their preferences for birth.
