- Abstract
The purpose of this descriptive study was to examine the contribution degree of Arabic language teachers’ preparation program in introducing alternative assessment strategies to student teachers. To collect the data, the researcher employed the survey. The sample of the study consisted of 196 student teachers from Umm Al-Qura University. The findings of the study revealed that the Arabic language teachers’ preparation program highly contributed in introducing alternative assessment strategies to student teachers. In addition, there was no statistically significant different between the mean of the participants regarding their gender or achievement level. Based on the results of this study, recommendations for practices and future research were presented.
