- Abstract
The article explores the role of state housing finance agencies in the U.S. in the implementation of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) in the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. It presents key findings and best practices that emerged from two national surveys on implementing the act's housing protections and remedies in the LIHTC program more effectively. The benefits of sharing the best practices under the Fair Housing Act are discussed.
