- Title
The Equity Niche in Total Compensation: A Brief Review of Recent Research and Some Practical Applications.
- Authors
Hannah, Richard L.
- Abstract
This article is a review of equity mechanisms in direct compensation and benefits from two perspectives -- recent academic research and applications from the practitioner's domain. The academic dimension is shortchanged to the extent that philosophical roots and problems of measurement are not covered. The focus is kept on work that shows direct linkage to present practice. Legislative requirements are excluded to further define and explore this compensation niche. The primary focus is on the notion of administered equity.
