- Abstract
This research aims to evaluate the maturity level of the Toyota Production System in three industries in the micro-region of Passos / MG. A multiple case study was used for this purpose with the application of a questionnaire to managers. A visit was also carried out within the industries for observations and also unstructured interviews with employees to validate the measured score. As a result, the maturity level of Lean tools 1.48, 2.35 and 1.49 was obtained, respectively for a dairy, a meat industry and a medical equipment industry, on a scale of 0 to 5. Improvements were also suggested based on the literature and in the three worst scores obtained by the questionnaire, for example: the times and methods' study in the first study object to improve standardized work; standardization of nozzles, tools and containers to prevent failures in processes in the meat industry; and the execution of a purchase forecast to improve the supply chain in the last company. As a scientific contribution, it is noted at the end of the article that, even without having the correct implementation of lean, the tools can be applied in industries and obtain a good return.
