- Abstract
The article features the organizations that emerged as leaders in the advocacy for gifted children, the American Association for Gifted Children (AAGC) and the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). It presents its histories and objectives which include broad comprehension on the nature and needs of children, training for more effective teachers, and providing stimulating curricula for AAGC, and formation of association, publication of journal, and establishment of funds for NAGC.
