- Abstract
The article discusses a study that examined the correlation of lipoprotein particle abnormalities with arterial stiffness in children with type 1 diabetes (T1D). A description of the study design is given. The study showed increased radial tonometry, decreased small low density lipoprotein (LDL) particle concentration, increased large high density lipoprotein (HDL) particle concentration and increased mean LDL and HDL particle size on T1D subjects. It concluded that I1D subjects have increased arterial stiffness.
