- Abstract
This article presents an interview with dentist John W. McLean. When asked about the main differences between dental laboratory technology in the U.S. and in England, he says there is no major difference, but in Europe, there are a large number of expert technicians who can produce dental crown work of very high standard. McLean says that he founded the International Society of Dental Ceramics, which holds meetings for dental technicians and encourages them to attend more postgraduate courses.
