- Abstract
The article presents information on the ways federal courts have approached apex deponents and the apex doctrine. It discusses the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and explains the considerations embedded in apex depositions decisions. It reviews the courts cases including Celerity Inc. v. Ultra Clean Holdings Inc., Baine v. General Motors Corp. and Grateful Dead Productions v. Sagan in which courts have applied and declined the apex doctrine.
