- Abstract
This article, published in the European Heart Journal, describes a case of a 70-year-old man who was admitted to the hospital with chest pain. The patient had previously undergone surgery for esophageal cancer and had endoscopic clips inserted due to complications. The patient experienced severe multi-vessel coronary spasm, which was alleviated after treatment with nitroglycerin and diltiazem. Further examinations revealed a gastropericardial fistula derived from a gastric tube ulcer, which was treated and resolved. This case highlights the potential risk of gastropericardial fistula associated with endoscopic clips.
