- Abstract
Precision Agriculture (PA) has been applied by the farmers representing a support tool to increase productivity in ornamental plant nurseries. This article develops an algorithm to calculate the growth of ornamental plants, formulating an innovative solution in the field of precision agriculture, processing images of ornamental plants scaling the dimensions to calculate their growth. In the development of this work, emergent technologies were used, like the algorithm a reduction by multi-scale to process images, the programming language Python and the library of artificial vision OpenCV. The multi-scale algorithm was applied to graphic samples with different proportions of the same image getting calculations of plant growth. Based on the results obtained, we consider that the developed algorithm can be extended to other areas of knowledge.
