- Abstract
The article focuses on cases of cholera in Haiti's Central and Artibonite Departments. Patients who were identified with the disease had fever, vomiting and explosive diarrhea. One month after, a total of 77,208 hospital visits, 34,248 hospitalizations and 1,751 deaths have been reported by the Haitian Ministry of Health (MSPP). A number of nongovernmental organizations and MSPP's regional representatives took action to address the epidemic after the disease was confirmed.
