- Abstract
The article presents a study of the role of crosslinker on volumetric contraction-expansion processes in poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (NIPA) networks and water systems using pycnometry. It explores how the polymeric NIPA residues influence the changes in the volumetric contraction-expansion process of hydrogels. Results demonstrate a significant structural difference between (NIPA)bonded and (NIPA)unbonded molecules.
