- Abstract
Although herbal medicines are believed to be with few side effects, there are several reports on drug-induced liver injury caused by them. However, there are no reports of autoimmune hepatitis triggered by herbal medicines. We report here the case of a patient with autoimmune hepatitis that became clinically apparent after administration of Dai-saiko-to (Da-Chai-Hu-Tang), an herbal medicine that is used as a standard medicine in Japan.
