- Abstract
Volatiles from the buds and flowers of Prunus persica (L.) Batsch. f. alboplena Schneid grown in China were analyzed by GC-MS combined with solid-phase microextraction (SPME). 19 compounds were identified in buds and 21 compounds were identified in flowers of P. persica (L.) Batsch. f. alboplena Schneid. It is interesting to note that (Z)-9-octadecenoic acid-2-hydroxyethyl ester (43.62%) was the main component in buds and octadec-9-enoic acid (2.65%) in buds was obviously increased to 58.69% in flowers, (Z)-9-octadecenoic acid-2-hydroxyethyl ester was not detected in flowers. It indicated that (Z)-9-octadecenoic acid-2-hydroxyethyl ester might be conversed to octadec-9-enoic acid with the buds blooming.
