- Abstract
This article studies a part of the vast correspondence between Rodolfo Lenz and Robert Lehmann-Nitsche within the period between 1898 and 1912. The correspondence covers several aspects such as bibliographical exchanges, methodological advice, the establishment of cooperative intellectual networking between several German researchers located in Latin America, to even personal remarks and commentaries regarding daily personal life. It turns fundamental to study the content of the letters in order to comprehend how the working project between both researchers was developed and how they supported themselves mutually in order to fulfill it. It is therefore proposed that the nexus and the intellectual dialogue between Rodolfo Lenz and Robert Lehmann-Nitsche were crucial for the spread of Ethnological, Linguistical, Grammatical, and Folklore Studies in Argentina as much as in Chile.
