- Abstract
The article describes a new technology developed by recycling technology company RockTron that enables separation and recycling of pulverised fuel ash for reuse in the rubber, plastics and coating sectors. The technology is being used in a recycling plant built at the Fiddler's Ferry power station in Widnes, Cheshire, England which can process an estimated 800,000 tons per annum of fly ash and produce recycled eco-minerals using a closed wet system. Among the benefits of the process include elimination of costs linked to inorganic fillers or extenders.
