Title
Losing your nerve agents - safely.
Abstract
The article focuses on a research conducted at Kentucky and Kennesaw State Universities in the U.S. which found that a dealkylating agent allows them to cleave organophosphate-based compounds in a single reaction for the first time. According to Kentucky chemistry professor and paper author David Atwood, the research demonstrates the first technique whereby nerve agents or pesticides can be made inactive in a direct reaction.
