Abstract
The article reports on a statement given out by two Indonesian pulp and paper companies, warning that ongoing police investigations into alleged illegal logging activities could damage business. Indah Kiat and Riau Andalan which were jointly responsible for around $5 billion worth of pulp and paper export in 2006, say that their supplies are extremely low that operations could close within two months.
