- Abstract
The article provides information on a study which examined the fabrication of a superhydrophobic cotton surface through a chemical reaction without the use of nanomaterials. Topics discussed include the esterification of the surface hydroxyl groups of the cotton fabric in the presence of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) and catalytic amount of dimethylamino-pyridine (DMAP) and water contact angle (WCA) of the untreated cotton fabric.
