The article offers the author's insights on the use of young adult literature in high school English classes. Topics include the need for English teachers to focus on young adult literature to best serve their students and to expose them to a diverse set of viewpoints, the benefits of young adult literature based on the observations of English teacher Virginia Monseau, and the inclusion of multiculturalism in the classrooms by integrating young adult literature.
