- Abstract
The article profiles Leo Staats who was the first choreographer at the Roxy, a stage show which features music, dance, and film presentation in New York. Staats is said to be a dancer at the Paris Opéra where he became the partner of Carlotta Zambelli before he became a maître de ballet from 1919 to 1926. As a successful person in his field, he was able to teach and open his own school and at the same time choreograph for other theaters and big music halls in Paris.
