Depiction and portrayal of black women with the constructs of dominant and subordinate roles on the basis of corporeality; Presentation of themes of xenogenesis and interracial relationships in Butler's works; Contention of the author that acceptance of difference and adaptability are essential in the survival of the characters portrayed.
