- Abstract
The article presents a study which assesses the impact of customer rebate and retailer incentive on the pricing and decision held by manufacturers and retailers via theoretical model. It determines what promotion would gain an advantage among manufacturers under which market conditions using models with various demand characteristic and information asymmetry between manufacturer and retailer. It shows that when demand is deterministic, manufacturer's profit increases due to retailer incentives.
