(1937) Proposal to conserve the name Podocarpus aristulatus (Podocarpaceae) with a conserved type.
- Authors
Schilling, Darian M. Stark; Mill, Robert R.
- Abstract
The article presents the 1937 proposal to conserve the name Podocarpus aristulatus or Podocarpaceae with a conserved type. It states that the name Podocarpus aristulatus Parl. has been used for about 140 years for one of the three species of Podocarpus that are endemic in Cuba. It cites that the proposal will remove the doubts on the legitimacy of the name Podocarpus aristulatus, and would allow the continued use of other Podocarpus species following the name used by current Cuban workers.
