- Title
Structure and crack growth in gas pipes of medium-density and high-density polyethylene.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article presents a study on the slow crack growth microstructure and resistance of commercial polyethylene (PE) pipe materials with medium and high-density amounts of PE. It states that thickness, width distributions and size of lamellar stacks and slow cracked growth resistance were assessed. It concludes that large differences were observed in slow crack growth despite similarities in average tie-chain concentrations in the PE grades.
