- Title
Atraumatic avulsion of the lesser trochanter as an indicator of tumour infiltration.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the avulsion of the lesser trochanter (ALT) as an indicator of tumor infiltration. ALT is can be identified on radiographs when variable-sized fragment of bone is pulled off and displaced from the surface of the trochanter. Avulsion occurs when tumor infiltration of the bone is sufficiently extensive that the lesser trochanter can no longer resist the normal forces implemented by the iliopsoas tendon.
