- Abstract
The article reports on the announcement of the Russian government concerning its injection of 318 billion roubles into its plan to develop and commercialize nanotechnologies in Russia. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev asserts the country's possession of financial and administrative capacity to become leaders in a technological process. It is noted that the state-owned venture-capital company Russian Corp. of Nanotechnologies (Rusnano) is tasked to boost the commercialization of nanotechnologies to the country. The article mentions that the push of Russia into nanotechnology is part of its effort to strengthen basic science and education.
