- Abstract
The article presents an investigation to monitor the raw and drinking water quality in the Romanian counties Calarasi and Braila. The investigation performed the fractioning of the natural organic matter (NOM) and determination of the regrowth potential as biodegradable organic matter (BDOC). The goal was to identify any non-compliance with the regulations, as well as raw water treatability characteristics and possible inadequate treatment steps causing this non-compliance.
