The article presents an interview with Mary Eunice Romero-Little, associate professor of Indigenous language education at Arizona State University. She discusses importance of naming practices and terminology used by educators when talking about educational issues to Indigenous people in U.S. She mentions that Indigenous societies are connected to Native languages. She also mentions assimilative educational policies which focuses on learning English.
