- Abstract
My choice of this topic was based on the conviction of the importance of the history of Baghdad as the capital of the Islamic world, and the delegations of scholars and people there, which increased its expansion and the creation of new stores, and the lack of a specialized study that talks about the Mamounia locality, its origin and urban development. As well as the great importance of this topic in the history of this capital, which led the world for more than five centuries, we wanted to shed light more broadly on the course of events that sometimes had a great impact in changing the course of things, and that the Mamounia district in particular had the largest part of it, which is located On the Rusafa side of Baghdad, great events took place in it, and history books told us many news about this locality. Siraj al-Din, and al-Sadriyya in the following centuries, and it was named al-Mamuniyah in relation to the Caliph Abdullah al-Mamun ibn Harun al-Rashid.
