- Abstract
According to the article "United States Solar Data Tables," published in Solar Today, as of February 2024, solar energy accounts for 8.21% of the total available solar-generating capacity in the United States. Additionally, renewable energy sources contribute 37.46% of the total capacity installed. Looking ahead, it is estimated that solar energy will provide 69.37% of new capacity from March 2024 to February 2027, while renewable energy as a whole will contribute 90.19% during the same period. The Energy Information Administration reports a 20.54% growth in total solar power net generation from January 2023 to January 2024, with residential solar generation experiencing a 25.26% growth. In contrast, nuclear power generation decreased by 2.53%, while coal power generation increased by 23.48% during the same period.
