- Authors

- Abstract
The article focuses on land-use federalism experiment in Columbia River Gorge. The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Act in 1986, a land use regulation enacted by the Congress, gives power to the Columbia River Gorge Commission to protect and improve the Gorge. The Gorge Act, though controversial because of conflicts brought by regional-local tensions and a number of court trials that questions its function, had set a model of approach in protecting valuable natural resources in the United States.
