- Abstract
This article discusses some security elements which can help to avoid computer systems from virus attacks. These viruses can severely disrupt the normal operation of a firm's computer system, creating costly delays and inefficiencies. The author advises informing employees of typical viruses mechanisms, restricting access to certain programs and monitor systems and applications for anything unexpected. However, he warns against excessive caution, so far, viruses are nuisances that can be controlled.
