- Title
A Balancing Act: The Right to Be Forgotten and Libraries.
- Authors
Wyber, Stephen
- Abstract
This article explores how libraries balance human rights relating to information from a theoretical and practical angle-notably via the IFlA [International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions] statement on the Right to be Forgotten-and explores some of the more recent developments and questions associated with access to information which it will be important to follow. These include, in particular, the extraterritorial application of RTbF judgments, and the risk to archiving rights. It concludes with suggestions on the steps libraries may wish to take.
